When does my eSIM actually start?
Every plan has a validity window — say, 10GB over 15 days. The only question is when that clock starts ticking. Your plan card tells you: look for the small badge under the validity.
“Starts when you connect” — install any time
Most of our plans work this way. Install the eSIM tonight, next week, whenever suits — nothing counts down until your phone first connects to the network at your destination. Buy early, install early, relax.
“Starts on install” — install when you arrive
A few plans start their clock the moment the eSIM is installed, even if you haven't flown yet. For these, install on arrival — at the airport Wi-Fi is plenty — so you don't spend validity days sitting at home.
How to tell which one yours is
Check the badge on the plan card before you buy: it says either Starts when you connect or Starts on install. The same note is on your order email, so there's nothing to memorise.
Whichever type you have, we'll say so clearly before you pay — and if the timing ever goes wrong on our end, our refund policy has your back.
